Professor George Nemhauser (Georgia Tech) gave a LANCS seminar, on "Scheduling on-demand air transportation", at Lancaster University Management School on 18th September 2009.

LANCS Streams at OR51

Five streams were organised by LANCS people at the 51st Conference of the Operational Research Society (OR51), which took place in Warwick, 8th-10th September 2009.  These included Logistics (organised by Richard Eglese), Metaheuristics (organised by Ender Ozcan and Andrew Parkes), Optimisation (organised by Adam Letchford), Queue Modelling (organised by Dave Worthington), and Scheduling (organised by Sanja Petrovic).  See the OR51 web page for more information.

Workshop on Automated Heuristic Design
